Real growth transforms a leader from the
inside out. The process is simple: commit to learning the
right information and apply these new concepts to current behavior.
This can be summarized in my Leadership Success Model, which is
based on 3 key concepts I call the 3 “I” Model. Each “I” is
a vital ingredient in developing true leadership success and forms
an integral part of establishing a meaningful leadership foundation. The
3 “I” Model consists of these three components:
- Insight – using insight to understand
our leadership style, our personal characteristics and overall
understanding of the foundation of leadership success.
- Integration – making use of old and
new insights by applying them to current leadership experience
and style.
- Innovation – taking action to develop
and expand leadership competency by setting strategic goals that
guarantee growth and transformation. Goal setting becomes
embedded in a creative process of re-inventing ourselves as leaders,
in addition to building core competencies.
Careful attention to this model results in a consistent growth
process and forms the basis for true leadership transformation.
